Ian Piccard (born March 11, 1968 in Les Saisies ) is a retired French ski racer . His specialty was the giant slalom . Ian is the brother of Franck , John , Leila , Jeff and Ted , who were also ski racers.

biography

Piccard won his first points in the Ski World Cup on November 29, 1991, finishing 24th in the giant slalom in Breckenridge . A year later he reached sixth place in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora on December 20, 1992. Overall, Piccard was able to place in eight World Cup races in the top ten, the best result being fifth in the giant slalom in Kranjska Gora on January 5, 1997. He drove his last World Cup race on February 27, 1999, but then took up to 2005 participated in French championships and FIS races in France.

Piccard took part in the Winter Olympics in 1994 and 1998 and reached 17th and eleventh place in the giant slalom. From 1989 to 1999 he took part in five world championships, reaching twelfth place in the giant slalom in 1993 and ninth place in the giant slalom in 1996. 1997 and 1999 he could not finish his runs. From 1994 to 1997 he was French champion three times .
