The Iberg (not to be confused with the nearby Iberger Kugel ) is about 960 m above sea level. NHN high southwest foothills of the Riedholzer Kugel mountain ( 1065.6 m above sea level ) in the northern end of the Allgäu Alps in the northeast of the Lindau district (Lake Constance) , administrative district of Swabia in Bavaria .
The Iberg rises in the Riedholz district of the municipality of Maierhöfen, the core of which is 2.3 km north-northeast of the mountain. Isny is about 7 km north and about 1 km (as the crow flies ) to the west-north-west is the Eistobel , a gorge of the Obere Argen river designated as a nature reserve , into which the Riedholzer Bach , which passes the mountain to the north and flows through Riedholz, flows. The Schüttentobelbach flows south of the mountain and flows west-south-west towards the Upper Argen . The southwest flank of the mountain is named Hohenegg after the settlement there (to the hamlet of Schüttentobel ) - Hohenegger Berg , where the Hohenegg castle ruins are located.
The two Iberg ski lifts are named after the Iberg, which is a hiking and skiing area .
