Ibrahim Hassan Hussein ( Arabic إبراهيم حسن, DMG Ibrāhīm Ḥasan ; * August 10, 1966 in Cairo ) is a former Egyptian soccer player and is a player with over 100 international matches in his country. Most recently he played for Al-Masry .

He is one of the players with over 100 international matches in the Egyptian national soccer team , to be precise with 125 games. He and his twin brother Hossam Hassan played together on their teams for the most part. The two brothers are known in the football world, such as B. the Ravellis, the Laudrups or the de Boers.

Career

Hassan worked in the professional field for 21 years and played with his twin brother a. a. in her home country Egypt with Al-Ahly Cairo (twice), with Zamalek SC and with Al-Masry , in Greece with PAOK Thessaloniki , in Switzerland with Neuchâtel Xamax and in Saudi Arabia with Al Ain Club .

At the age of 40 he ended his career as a professional player and was hired as an assistant coach at Al-Masry , where he also ended his career. After briefly serving as assistant coach at Zamalek SC in 2010 , he returned to Al-Masry in 2012, again as assistant coach.

National team

Hassan made a total of 131 international appearances, scoring 14 goals in 17 years. His brother played four years longer for the Egyptian national soccer team . At the World Cup in 1990 , he played a major role in the fact that they reached two draws in the group stage and only lost 1-0 to England .

He made a faux pas with an Algerian referee whom he had physically assaulted. After some criticism, he ended his national team career.
