Ibrahim Saleh Bakr

Ibrahim Saleh Bakr ( Arabic إبراهيم صالح بكر, DMG Ibrāhīm Ṣāliḥ Bakr ; born 1923 - died 2014 ) was a Saudi diplomat .

Life

He was a son of Salih Bakr. He studied at Columbia University and earned a diploma in political science from Georgetown University in Washington, DC In 1948 entered the foreign service and was employed until 1953 in the State Department.

Diplomatic missions

In the meantime (1966 to 1968) he headed the West Department in the Foreign Ministry.

From 1994 he was a representative of the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs). He performed a number of other tasks. For example, in 1995 he was the representative of the OIK General Secretary in Kabul and Jalalabad.
