Ibrahima Kassory Fofana

Ibrahima Kassory Fofana (* 1954 ) is a Guinean politician ; from 2018 Prime Minister of Guinea.

Life

He worked as a civil servant in the Ministry of Cooperation. In 1990 he became director of the Ministry of Public Investment. From 1997 to 2000 he was Finance Minister of Guinea under President Lansana Conté . In 2010 he ran as one of the candidates in the presidential election in Guinea, which he lost to Alpha Condé . As the successor to Mamady Youla , Fofana has been Prime Minister of Guinea since May 24, 2018. He was appointed by President Alpha Condé five days after Youla resigned .
