Ida Gørtz Jacobsen (born March 1, 1995 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish rower . In 2019 she won the bronze medal in the quadruple scull at the World Rowing Championships.

Career

In 2012, Ida Jacobsen took part in the double sculls at the Junior Rowing World Championships , which were held in Plovdiv at the same time as the 2012 World Rowing Championships . She and Iben Ostergaard missed the qualification for the A-final and finished fifth in the B-final, so they finished the competition in eleventh place. A year later, she took in the Lithuanian Trakai at the Junior World Championships in 2013 in part and there formed the double sculls, together with Matilda Persson . Together they reached the A final and won the bronze medal behind the boats from Romania and Australia.

In 2014 she took part in the lightweight double sculls at the U23 rowing world championships in Varese . Together with Iben Ostergaard it was only enough for the C-final, which she could decide for herself and thus finished the competition in 13th place. Three years later she took part again in the U23 World Championships. In Plovdiv she was part of both the four without a helmsman and the eight. In addition to her, the crew of the four-wheeler without helmsman included Trine Dahl Pedersen , Julie Poulsen and Astrid Steensberg . Together they reached the A-final and just missed a medal with fourth place. In the eighth, Ida Jacobsen also missed a possible medal. In the A-final the Danish women's eight finished fifth.

In 2018 she made her debut in this racing series at the third rowing World Cup competition in Lucerne . Besides Anne Larsen , Frida Sanggaard Nielsen and Hedvig Lærke Rasmussen, she was part of the crew of the Danish four-man without a helmsman. They were able to qualify for the A final of the competition, where they finished second behind the boat from Australia and ahead of the boat from the USA. As a result, they also took part in the 2018 World Rowing Championships in Plovdiv in this constellation . They were able to qualify for the A final and just missed a medal with fourth place.

In 2019, Ida Jacobsen and Frida Sanggaard Nielsen , Hedvig Lærke Rasmussen and Christina Johansen formed the four without a helmsman and together they competed in two races of the Rowing World Cup and the Rowing World Championships . At the World Cup race in Poznan they were able to secure victory in the A final ahead of the Chinese and Australian boats. At the World Cup competition in Rotterdam , they had to admit defeat to the boat from Australia with more than two seconds behind and took second place. At the 2019 World Rowing Championships in Linz , they also reached the A final and won the bronze medal there behind the boats from Australia and the Netherlands.
