Ida Lüthold-Minder

Ida Lüthold-Minder (born February 18, 1902 in Flühli , † April 22, 1986 in Unterägeri ) was a Catholic writer from Switzerland .

Life

Ida Minder attended primary and secondary schools in Lucerne , Alpnach and Sarnen and in 1920 acquired a teaching certificate at the seminar for teachers of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in Menzingen . In the following years she taught in Brülisau and Zermatt . In 1927 she married the lawyer Albert Lüthold. It was only after his death in 1963 that Lüthold-Minder began to work as a writer. In her extensive work she mainly took on religious and Catholic topics. It includes 31 novels, biographies, children's books and non-fiction books. She was a follower of the angel work .

Their biographies of the Swiss Niklaus von Flüe and Niklaus Wolf and the Austrian Engelwerk founder Gabriele Bitterlich became well known . The richly illustrated large volume “Helvetia Mariana” is her life's work.

Since 1933 she lived in the village of Sachseln , from 1963 mainly in Flüeli-Ranft .
