Iddo Netanyahu

Iddo Netanyahu (* 1952 in Jerusalem ) is an Israeli radiologist , author and playwright . He is the younger brother of current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and soldier Jonathan Netanyahu, and the son of Benzion Netanyahu .

Life

He spent part of his childhood in the United States . He graduated from Cornell University in 1973 before participating in the Yom Kippur War . Like his two brothers, he served in the Israeli special unit Sajeret Matkal .

He received his MD from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and then interned at the Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC and the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City . He worked as a radiologist at St. James Mercy Hospital in Hornell , New York , most recently part-time until he devoted himself entirely to writing in 2008. He had already started writing books and plays while he was still studying. His piece A Happy Ending was performed in Italy by the Compagnia dell'Attimo for the 2008 European Day of Remembrance. Worlds in Collision had its world premiere in 2015 in a production of the Uzbek Youth Theater.
