Idner Faustino Lima Martins , called Idi (born December 19, 1978 in Santa Maria ), is a Brazilian volleyball player .
Career
Idi began his volleyball career in a school team in 1993. He first played for seven clubs in Brazil before playing for the first time in Europe from 2001 to 2004 for the Portuguese club Esmoriz Ginásio Clube . In 2005 he won the Austrian championship with Hypo Tirol Innsbruck . He came to Greece via the Italian Codyeco Santa Croce and the Turkish club IBB Istanbul , where he also won the national championship in 2007 with Iraklis Thessaloniki . After he had been active in Taranto for a while, he was signed by the German Bundesliga club VfB Friedrichshafen . On Lake Constance, the outside attacker celebrated three German championships in a row as well as victory in the 2007/08 DVV Cup . In 2010 the Brazilian, who also has Portuguese citizenship, initially returned to his homeland. In Minas , however, he only stayed until December, before he was signed by the Polish first division club Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle as a short-term replacement for an injured player. There he finished second in both the championship and the cup. After winning the CEV Cup with the Poles against VfB and then reaching the final, he finally returned to Friedrichshafen in summer 2011. Here he was again DVV Cup winner in 2012 . Since, according to VfB managing director Hauke, he did not live up to the claim as an acceptance specialist in the 2012/13 season , the club dismissed him before the away meeting of the main round in Düren . Faustino immediately found a new club in the hotVolleys Vienna . After further stints in Russia, Turkey, Qatar and Indonesia, Idi returned to TV Rottenburg in the German Bundesliga in 2017 , where he was active until 2019.
