Idol (Original title: Usang ) is a thriller by the South Korean director Lee Su-jin from 2019. Han Suk-kyu , Sol Kyung-gu and Chun Woo-hee can be seen in the leading roles . The film celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale 2019 .

Koo Myung-hui is a politician and an election is imminent. One night he meets his wife in the garage, panicking cleaning her son Johan's car. He had run over someone shortly before and brought the body with him. Myung-hui persuades Johan to surrender. He places the body of the victim, who turns out to be the cognitively impaired Bu-nam, back on the street. The victim is the cognitively impaired Bu-nam. His father Joong-sik's whole life was focused on caring for him. It soon turns out that there is a witness with the illegal immigrant Reon-hwa. But it disappears without a trace. Both Myung-hui and Joong-sik are looking for her.

Idol opened in South Korean cinemas on March 20, 2019 and reached 183,784 moviegoers.
