The Iffigheimer Berg is 482 m above sea level. NHN high mountain in the Steigerwald . It is located in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Middle Franconia .
Geographical location
The mountain is located in the southwestern part of the Steigerwald and, like the Schwanberg , protrudes from the upstream Main Franconia. This makes the mountain look very distinctive, especially from the west side. The mountain, which lies between the two places Krassolzheim in the east and Nenzenheim in the west, is completely covered with forest. The mountain can be reached via the NEA 32 road .
Surname
The name Iffigheimer Berg comes from the fact that the village of Iffigheim has its forest here. It was part of the Kunigunden forest .
Attractions
At the highest point of the mountain there is a 27 meter high observation tower . It was built in 1902 . From there you have a good view of the neighboring mountains Hoher Landsberg and Scheinberg .
