Igna Maria Jünemann

Igna Maria Jünemann (also: Ina Jünemann , pseudonym : Igna Maria , born February 22, 1892 in Frankfurt am Main ; † November 11, 1976 in Lindau (Eichsfeld) ) was a German journalist and writer .

Life

Igna Maria Jünemann was the daughter of a high school teacher and a sister of the journalist and writer Maria Regina Jünemann . Igna Maria Jünemann was a guest student at the University of Frankfurt , where she attended lectures on economics and social science . She belonged to the circle around the Catholic social reformer Carl Sonnenschein and was active in social work with her sister Maria Regina . From 1917 to 1918 she worked as an editor in Erkelenz and Aachen . From 1920 to 1933 she was head of department at the Berlin newspaper " Germania "; After the National Socialist seizure of power and the ban on " Germania ", she did press work for film companies in Berlin . After the Second World War , Igna Maria Jünemann was head of division at the Federal Press Office in Bonn from 1949 to 1961 .

Igna Maria Jünemann wrote not only reports on Catholic social work in West German cities between 1919 and 1932, but also novels and stories as well as numerous plays for children .
