Ignacio Asúnsolo
Ignacio Asúnsolo (born March 15, 1890 in San José de Parral , † December 21, 1965 in Mexico City ) was a Mexican sculptor .
Asúnsolo attended the Academia de San Carlos in Mexico City, where he later taught, and studied from 1919 to 1921 in Paris at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts de Paris . In addition to numerous monuments, he also created the original of the Ariel Film Prize . His most famous monument was at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and represented Miguel Alemán Valdés . The monument was blown up during the 1968 student riots .
