Ignatius Chama

Ignatius Chama (born August 12, 1957 in Mutomo-Kawambwa ) is a Zambian clergyman and Roman Catholic Archbishop of Kasama .

Life

Ignatius Chama was ordained a priest on August 12, 1984 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him bishop of Mpika on July 17, 2008 .

The Apostolic Nuncio in Zambia and Malawi , Archbishop Nicolas Girasoli , donated him episcopal ordination on September 28 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were George Cosmas Zumaire Lungu , Bishop of Chipata , and James Mwewa Spaita , Archbishop of Kasama .

On January 12, 2012, the Pope appointed him Archbishop of Kasama and, for the vacancy that lasted until 2015, Diocesan administrator of Mpika.
