Ignatius Loyola Mascarenhas (born June 3, 1949 in Delhi , India ) is Bishop of Simla and Chandigarh .

Life

Ignatius Loyola Mascarenhas received on 17 December 1977, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 10, 2009 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Simla and Chandigarh. The Archbishop of Delhi , Vincent Michael Concessao , donated him episcopal ordination on April 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Jalandhar , Anil Joseph Thomas Couto , and the Bishop of Jammu-Srinagar , Peter Celestine Elampassery OFMCap .
