The Archdiocese of Delhi ( Latin Archidioecesis Delhiensis ) is an archdiocese of the Roman Catholic Church in India with its seat in Delhi .

The Archdiocese of Delhi includes the districts of Gurgaon , Faridabad , Rohtak , Rewari , Mahindergarh , Jhajjar and Sonipat in the state of Haryana and the entire union territory of Delhi.

history

The Archdiocese was established on September 13, 1910, initially under the name Archdiocese of Simla (until 1937, later Archdiocese of Delhi and Simla until 1959), from parts of the Archdiocese of Agra and the Diocese of Lahore .
