The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Lahore ( lat. : Archidioecesis Lahorensis ) is in Pakistan situated Roman Catholic Archdiocese based in Lahore .
history
The diocese of Lahore was on September 1, 1886 by Pope Leo XIII. Established from the cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate of Punjab . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Karachi as a suffragan . The diocese of Lahore gave up several times in its history parts of its territory to establish new Apostolic Prefectures . On April 23, 1994, the diocese of Lahore was raised to an archdiocese.
