Lawrence John Saldanha (born June 12, 1936 in Mangalore ) is Old Archbishop of Lahore .

Life

Lawrence John Saldanha was ordained a priest on January 16, 1960 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Lahore on April 24, 2001 . The Archbishop of Karachi , Simeon Anthony Pereira , ordained him episcopal on September 11th of the same year; Co- consecrators were Anthony Theodore Lobo , Bishop of Islamabad-Rawalpindi , and Andrew Francis , Bishop of Multan .

On April 7, 2011, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
