Ignaz Hirsch
Ignaz Hirsch (born December 21, 1834 in Weiten-Trebetitsch near Podersam as Isak Hirsch, † August 10, 1908 in Teplitz-Schönau ) was a Prussian medic and Royal Prussian Privy Medical Council .
Life
Hirsch was born in Weiten-Trebetitsch in 1834 as the second child of Moses Hirsch and Esther Löbl. He attended grammar school in Brüx and Saaz , then became a student at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate. med. In 1862 he settled in Teplitz as a practitioner and spa doctor. In 1870 he received the post of primary physician in the Israelite bathing hospital. He wrote several writings on the Bohemian baths and the curative effects of therapeutic baths on skin diseases. For his services, Hirsch was granted honorary citizenship of the city of Teplitz-Schönau.
Hirsch had been a member of the Teplitz city council since 1880 and was a member of the district council and the health commission for several years. He died in Teplitz in 1908.
