Ignazio Balbi

Ignazio Balbi (* around 1696 in Milan ; † after 1777 probably there) was an Italian composer .

Life

Little is known about Balbi's life. He was probably in the service of Emperor Charles VI. and described herself in the composition as a dilettante . The dates come from a letter from the Italian scholar Pietro Verri (1728–1797).

Balbi was friends with Alessandro Magnasco , Giovanni Lorenzo Somis and Johann Christian Bach .
