Igor Kos (born February 17, 1978 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian handball player .

Kos, who plays for the Spanish top club Ademar León (shirt number 26) and plays for the Croatian men's national handball team, is usually used as a left-hander on the right wing or in the right back .

Igor Kos started playing handball at the top club RK Zagreb in his hometown. Here he also made his debut in the Croatian first division and was Croatian champion and cup winner in 1999. In 1999 he decided to move abroad to TV Jahn Duderstadt in the 2nd handball Bundesliga . After just one year he moved to France to Chambéry Savoie HB . With the Savoy he was French champion in 2001 and league cup winner in 2002. He then moved to the second division Livry-Gargan HB, with whom he rose in 2003; In 2004 he went to Slovenia to the RK Gold Club Kozina, where he won the Slovenian Cup. In 2005 he was finally hired by SG Flensburg-Handewitt in the first German handball league . There he won the DHB Cup in 2005 , but was mostly only second choice behind Marcin Lijewski , so that he returned to France in early 2006 and joined the US Créteil. In 2007 he moved again to Slovenia, this time for series champion RK Celje . After again only one season in which he won the Slovenian championship, Kos moved on to the Spanish top club Ademar León.

So far, Igor Kos has played over 40 international matches for the Croatian men's handball team. But he was never in the Croatian squad for a major tournament.
