Igor Lukšič (2010)

Igor Lukšič (born December 3, 1961 in Novo mesto , Yugoslavia , today Slovenia ) is a Slovenian political scientist and politician.

Life

He studied at the University of Ljubljana , where he received his doctorate in 1993 and has been a full professor of political science since 1998. From 2005 to 2009 he was deputy chairman of the Socialni Demokrati . Since November 21, 2008 he has been Minister for Schools and Sports. After the resignation of Science Minister Gregor Golobič , Lukšič has also temporarily taken over this office since June 2011. His term of office ended with the change of government in January 2012.

From June 2012 to May 2014 he was party chairman of the Socialni Demokrati.
