Igor Viktorovich Sanakoyev

Igor Wiktorowitsch Sanakojew ( Russian Игорь Викторович Санакоев ; * 1947 in Aspindsa , Georgian SSR ) is a South Ossetian politician and former Prime Minister of his country.

life and career

Igor Sanakojew was born in 1947 in Aspindsa in the south of the Georgian Soviet Republic into an Ossetian family. He studied at the biochemical faculty of the South Ossetian Pedagogical Institute in Tskhinvali and later in Moscow , before finally working in various industrial and food combines in the South Ossetian capital. After the collapse of the Soviet Union , he initially worked for RosTEK in North Ossetia . After the de facto independence of South Ossetia , he was the successor of Gerassim Khugayev from September 2003 to May 2005, Prime Minister of South Ossetia under President Eduard Kokoity .

Sanakoyev is married and has one son.
