The Illinois State Route 14 (in short IL 14 ) is a state highway in the US state of Illinois , which runs east-west direction.
The State Route begins on US Highway 51 south of Du Quoin and ends after 123 kilometers on the Wabash River on Indiana State Route 66 .

From US Highway 51, State Route 14 runs east and Illinois State Route 184 branches off to the north of Mulkeytown in a southerly direction. In Christopher it meets State Route 148 and to the west of Benton it meets Interstate 57 . State Route 34 branches off in the center of the city and on Main Street it uses the Illinois State Route 37 . To the east of Beton, it passes Lake Moses . In McLeansboro , IL 14 is crossed by State Route 142 and south of Enfield it meets US Highway 45 .
Between the places Carmi and Crossville it uses the route of the Illinois State Route 1 and runs thereby in a northeast direction. In Crossville it leaves the route and ends west of New Harmony , Indiana at the New Harmony Toll Bridge over the Wabash River. The river also forms the border with Indiana . After the border, the road is known as Indiana State Route 66.
