Ilona Bürgel (born December 1, 1964 in Dresden ) is a German psychologist and non-fiction author .

Life and work

She studied psychology from 1983 to 1988 with a specialization in memory psychology, for her diploma thesis she built up a knowledge-based system on the subject of fear . In 1991 she did her doctorate at the University of Leipzig on the subject of "Autobiographical Memory".

Bürgel completed a second degree in law and has a degree as a trainer from the Chamber of Industry and Commerce . As a speaker and author, she works on topics such as performance, health, work-life balance , stress and positive leadership . She writes the column “Psychotalk” for the Sächsische Zeitung . She is a columnist for Focus Online and Wirtschaftswoche online.
