At the moment there is a collaboration album by the rappers Albino and Callya.
Emergence
The two rappers Albino and Callya both met through the joint record company "Art 4 Real". Albino had released his solo album Survival Training there in 2006 and two years later, together with Madcap, the CD 88 Is Great under the name Plan 88 . Callya was featured on both publications with a guest contribution. Conversely, Albino was a guest rapper on a track on Callya's last album Vergessenes Feuer in 2008 . In addition, both are vegan . Since both are stylistically assigned to Conscious Rap , it made sense to record a joint album due to these many similarities.

On the cover you can see the left half of Albino's head and the right half of Callya, with both heads in a slightly inclined position. Albino also wears a scarf. A wood-clad wall can be seen in the background. Under the two halves of the head, on a wide, horizontal wooden beam in white, there is the word “ALBINO” and, slightly downwards, “CALLYA”, whereby the O and the C overlap. Underneath is - also in white - the album title "IM AUGENBLICK".
In the booklet, wooden beams can also be seen in the background and, in the form of "slips of paper", explanations of the history of the pieces as well as short text samples from them. In the middle of the booklet there is another photo of the two artists on a double page, separated by a wooden beam, below on a wooden beam are photos and names of three gastrappers.
Recordings
The recordings took place between May and December 2009 in the Epplehaus in Tübingen and in Albino's “vegan revolutionary chamber” in Kiel. Callya also did the mixing and, together with Esperado, the mastering. B-Base was responsible for the cuts in the intro, which were created in the Souldier Lab Hamburg.
Musical guests on the album are Absztrakkt , Oli Second, Matt Sense and Meyah Don .
Texts
Like all other publications by the two rappers, the pieces can be assigned to Conscious Rap. In now's enough it comes to animal rights , the two rappers energetic and angry reveal their displeasure over the handling of humanity with animals. Metaphors are often used in the texts, for example in Der Wind blows , in which self-reflection is thematized, or in Winter Dream , which deals with the social cold in Germany. It is not fair with Meyah Don as a guest rapper criticizing human exploitation of the earth; the former is personified in the text.
promotion
In June 2010 a video was shot for “The Wind Blowing” in Freiburg im Breisgau . It shows the two rappers on a field as they perform the piece. In June 2011 the video was finally released.
reception
At the moment it received mostly positive reviews. The Aponaut newspaper comes to the conclusion: “The two rappers complement each other perfectly. Musically, this CD brings typical Conscious Rap, as one is used to it, mostly quite calm and relaxed to listen to, sometimes a bit angry. ” She also attests to Albino that she has made progress in rap technique. So “technically really good rap is offered […], forced rhymes as they can be heard on some older albino tracks were already rare on his last album“ survival training ”, with this one you can't really complain about rap anymore. "
On generation-one.de , the album is also largely rated as good: “At the moment [...] is much more than a mere inventory of two lives. Albino & Callya reflect an image of society that is not always satisfactory and address many problems that are perhaps too quickly forgotten. Callya is personally responsible for the predominantly warm, but mostly discreetly restrained beats and the rap technique is at an appropriate level. ” Only the “ forced refrains ” and the lack of creativity in the album cover are criticized . The summary is as follows: “The German rap scene urgently needs more content and seriousness again. Albino & Callya manage to do this with their album together and make the listener think in many moments. "
