action

John Martin is an undercover government investigator and goes to Rainbow Valley to investigate the gang of Butch Galt. When he prevented a robbery on the postman George Hale, citizens of the city asked him to take over the construction of a road. John Martin agrees to this plan and supports the construction of the road with all his might.

A petition is circulating in the city while the road is being built asking for support against the gang. Since Butch Galt is currently in jail, this petition is forged by Rogers and Butch is released. When the latter found out about John's work, he tried to get him on his side because of their time together in prison and to prevent the construction of the road. John tries to get him to complete the road without his knowledge.

When the villagers find out about this, they try to prevent this cooperation to allegedly destroy the road by force of arms.
