Imma Tor Faus

Imma Tor Faus (born April 12, 1966 in Sant Julià de Lòria ) is an Andorran diplomat .

Life

Tor Faus attended the Lycée Comte de Foix and received her Baccalauréat (A2) there in June 1984 . She then studied French language and literature at the Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail in Toulouse . After completing her studies, Tor Faus became a teacher and worked as a French teacher at the Lycée Comte de Foix from 1990 to 1998 .

In October 1998, Tor Faus became permanent representative of the Principality of Andorra in the Council of Europe and remained so until 2004. In November 1999 she was appointed Andorran Ambassador to France , which she remained until July 2007. During her time as ambassador to France, Tor Faus tried to get Andorra to join the International Organization of the Francophonie and the Latin Union . After Andorra was admitted, Tor Faus became the first representative of the principality in these two organizations. From 2004 to 2007 Tor Faus represented Andorra at UNESCO and from 2004 to 2009 was the Andorran Prime Minister's representative at the Permanent Council of the International Organization of Francophonie. Since September 2007 Tor Faus has been the ambassador to Brussels , where she is accredited to the European Union , Belgium , the Netherlands , Luxembourg , Slovenia and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons . In November 2009 she also became the Andorran ambassador for Germany , handing this office over to Eva Descarrega Garcia.

Tor Faus speaks Catalan , French , Spanish and English .
