Immanuil Lazarevich Fabelinsky
Immanuil Lasarewitsch Fabelinski ( Russian Иммануил Лазаревич Фабелинский * January 27 . Jul / 9. February 1911 greg. In Grajewo , † 2. August 2004 in Moscow ) was a Russian physicist .
Life
Fabelinski, son of a physician , worked after high school in 1929 in lgov two years as a lathe operator in the Karl-Liebknecht - sugar factory in Peny, Kursk . He then studied at the physics faculty of Moscow University (MGU) with a degree in 1936. He then worked at the MGU until 1941.
In 1943 Fabelinski became an employee of the optical laboratory of the Physical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (AN-SSSR, since 1991 Russian Academy of Sciences (RAN)). Fabelinski's main areas of work were physical optics and molecular acoustics as well as Rayleigh scattering , Brillouin scattering and Raman scattering . He studied the conditions of the propagation of ultrasound and hypersonic in viscous media . In 1979 he was elected a corresponding member of the AN-SSSR.
