reception

The album was recorded mixed by music critics . Metascore assigns a rating of 63% based on ten reviews and thus the predicate "generally favorable" (dt. "Generally positive" ).

The album received a very positive rating from the British BBC . Critic Mike Diver says that Immersion is the best Pendulum album so far and almost comes close to the band's live performances.

Allmusic received an average rating of three out of five stars . Critic Andy Kellman describes Immersion as a combination of the two previous albums, which means that there is hardly anything new.

The German press is less positive about immersion. Mathias Möller gives Laut.de two out of five stars. In his opinion, immersion is "quite a grip in the toilet" , as the band is pulling past customers in favor of the market.

Harald Jakobs from Plattentests.de also rated the album negatively with two out of ten points. He thinks that Pendulum mixes everything together that is “trendy” , thereby serving all clichés.
