Immunoglobulin superfamily 2 ( IgSF-2 , synonymous CD101 ) is a protein from the immunoglobulin superfamily .

properties

IgSF-2 inhibits the proliferation of T cells after activation by CD3 . It inhibits the secretion of the IL-2 receptor A on the cell surface of activated T cells and the secretion of interleukin 2 . The inhibition of the secretion of IL-2 occurs through an inhibition of tyrosine kinases . IgSF-2 inhibits the phosphorylation of phospholipase C of subtype γ1 and changes in the cytosolic calcium concentration and inhibits the transport of NFAT into the cell nucleus . In addition, IgSF-2 is involved in the inhibition of the proliferation of T cells after secretion of Interleukin-10 by dendritic cells of the skin. Perhaps IgSF 2, a biomarker of CD4 - and CD56 -positive leukemic tumor cells . IgSF-2 has disulfide bridges and is glycosylated and phosphorylated .

CD101 is involved in the development of Langerhans cell histiocytosis and histiocytosis . IgSF-2 has a hydrolase activity for non- peptidic carbon-nitrogen bonds in cyclic amides . A closely related protein is IgSF-3 .
