Inés Brock

Inés Brock (born September 30, 1964 in Elgersburg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and parliamentary group leader in the city council of Halle (Saale) .

Study and job

After studying German , English and pedagogy at the Martin Luther University in Halle, Inés Brock became a child and adolescent psychotherapist. She is currently a doctoral candidate for educational sciences at MLU.

politics

During the fall of the Wall, Inés Brock got involved in the New Forum . She has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen Sachsen-Anhalt since 1997 and was one of the two chairmen of the state association from 2000 to 2006. Since 2001 Inés Brock has been deputy spokeswoman for the Federal Working Group on Health, Social Affairs, Labor Market and a member of the Child Policy Commission. In the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt in 2006 , she was the top candidate for Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen, but the Greens missed out on entering the state parliament with 3.6 percent.

In 2009 she was elected to the city council of Halle. She has been the leader of the Greens in Halle since 2013.

Inés Brock is married and has four sons.
