Inìsero Cremaschi

Inìsero Cremaschi (born December 16, 1928 in Fontanellato , Emilia-Romagna ; died April 26 or 27, 2014 in Chiari , Lombardy ) was an Italian writer, science fiction writer , screenwriter and literary critic.

Life

Cremaschi worked for ten years as a screenwriter and disc jockey for Italian radio. In the mid-1950s he published his first volumes of poetry, and his first novels appeared in the 1960s. With over 300 short stories, his SF novels and the book series and anthologies he edited, he is considered a pioneer of Italian science fiction.

He was married to the science fiction writer Gilda Musa , with whom he wrote Dossier extraterrestri (1968) and Le grotte di Marte (1974). After her death in 1999 he was married to the painter and poet Elisa Clerici. In 2014 he died in the hospital in Chiari, near where he lived for many years in Palazzolo sull'Oglio .
