In My Defense ( English for " in my defense ") is the second studio album by the Australian rapper Iggy Azalea . It was released on July 19, 2019 via the Bad Dreams and Empire Distribution labels.

The album was largely produced by the American music producer J. White Did It, who also acted as executive producer . He created the music for ten of the twelve songs. The song Comme des Garçons was produced by Rico Beats, while the music for Big Bag was produced by Go Grizzly and Smash David.
Cover design
The album cover shows Iggy Azalea, who lies shot in front of a car. In the upper part of the picture is the title In My Defense in red against a blue background.
Guest Posts
In addition to Iggy Azalea, other musicians are represented on four songs on the album. The rapper Lil Yachty can be heard on Hoemita , while the rapper Kash Doll has a guest appearance on the song Fuck It Up . On Freak of the Week Iggy Azalea is supported by the rapper Juicy J and Big Bag is a collaboration with the rapper Stini.

On August 3, 2019, My Defense entered the US album charts at number 50 for a week.
On March 15, 2019, Sally Walker was released as the album's first single and reached number 62 on the US charts. The second release, Started , was released on May 3rd and placed 76th in the UK charts. The song Fuck It Up was released on the day the album was released.

On a musical level, the album appears “cool, reduced, clinical and gloomy” and delivers “irrelevant trap standards for condoms, handbags and luxury carts,” whereby “no rousing, touching, interesting, surprising or positive moment” is skipped. Only the single Started was given positive mention. Overall, the album is more of a "nice mixtape for while counting money."
