Ina Albowitz

Ina Albowitz b. Freytag (born April 26, 1943 in Weimar ) is a German politician ( FDP ). From 1992 to 1998 she was the parliamentary manager of the FDP parliamentary group.

Life and work

After attending elementary school and obtaining the technical college entrance qualification at the women's college , Ina Albowitz completed an apprenticeship as a housekeeper. This was followed by further training as a dental assistant and as an advertising clerk. She then worked for several years as a manager in medium-sized companies.

Ina Albowitz is widowed and has a daughter.

Political party

Ina Albowitz joined the FDP in 1975 and was chairwoman of the FDP district association Oberbergischer Kreis from 1982 to 2002 ; since 2002 she has been honorary chairwoman of the district association. From 1984 to 1998 she was also a member of the FDP state executive in North Rhine-Westphalia . From 2001 to 2002 she was founding chairwoman of the Federal Association of Liberal Seniors - "LiS @". She has been the district chairwoman of the FDP district association Oberbergischer Kreis again since 2019.

MPs

From 1979 to 1991 and from 1999 to 2000 she was a member of the city council of Gummersbach and was chairwoman of the FDP parliamentary group from 1981 to 1991 . From 1989 to 1994 she was also a member of the district council of the Oberbergischer Kreis. It has been a member of the district council of the Oberbergischer Kreis since 2009 until today.

From 1990 to 1998 Ina Albowitz was a member of the German Bundestag . From 1992 to 1998 she was Parliamentary Managing Director of the FDP parliamentary group . On June 6, 2000, she rejoined the Bundestag as a replacement for the resigned MP Jürgen Möllemann . She was no longer nominated by her party for the 2002 Bundestag election and therefore left the Bundestag again in October 2002.

It was drawn into the German Bundestag via the state list of North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2009 she moved back into the Oberbergischer Kreisag.

Public offices

From 1984 to 1989 she was deputy mayor of the city of Gummersbach and from 1989 to 1994 deputy district administrator of the Oberbergischer Kreis. Since 2017 she has been the chairwoman of the friends' association of the children's clinic at the Gummersbach district hospital.
