Inanimate Existence is an American technical and brutal death metal band from Santa Cruz , California , that was formed in 2010.

history

The band was formed in 2010 and consisted of singer Cameron Porras, drummer Ron Casey, bassist Nick Willbrand and guitarists Taylor Holt and Joel Guernsey. Holt and Willbrand left the band shortly after it was founded. Bassist Ivan Munguia and guitarist Ian Rittmaster joined the line-up to replace them. In August, the group went to the studio to record a demo that included the two songs The Discarnate Self Paradox and Iguanid Labyrinth . However, due to complications during the recording, the sound carrier was never released. Then Mitch Yoesle joined the band as the new bass player. Then the group reached a contract with Unique Leader Records , which released the debut album Liberation Through Hearing . The sound carrier was recorded in the Castle Ultimate Studios under the direction of Zack ears ( Decrepit Birth , Suffocation , All Shall Perish ) in March 2012. The album was released in July of the same year, with Matt Sotello of Decrepit Birth as a guest musician. This was followed by appearances with Disgorge , Severed Savior , Arkaik , Fallujah , Son of Aurelius , Putrid Pile and Vehemence . Then the group wrote on their second album. In November 2013 Riley McShane joined the band as the new singer, after which Porras switched to the electric guitar. For the year 2014 the release of the second album A Never-Ending Cycle of Atonement is planned, whereupon Scott Bradley should be heard as the new bassist.

style

According to Witness to the Void from technicaldeathmetal.com, the band play brutal and technical death metal, comparable to that of Burning the Masses and Arkaik, although the vocals are mostly in the lower range. In addition, the use of double bass is characteristic, while the electric guitars have an avant-garde and progressive sound that can be compared to Burning the Masses. The instrumental interludes would also be reminiscent of the old works by Earth .
