Infamy is the fifth album by the US hip-hop duo Mobb Deep . It was released on December 11, 2001 on the music labels Loud Records and Columbia Records .

Charts

Infamy was ranked 22nd on the US Billboard 200 . After 23 weeks, the album got off the charts again. The single Hey Luv (Anything) ranked 58th in the US singles charts. In France, Infamy reached number 135 on the album charts. In contrast to the previous album Murda Muzik , Infamy was unsuccessful in Germany.

criticism

The e-zine Laut.de rated Infamy with four out of a possible five points. From the editor's point of view, Stefan Johannesberg, Mobb Deep has "created its own niche " in the ten years of the band's history and created what is known as reality rap with " bone-dry beats, minimalist, dramatic loops and hard street poetry [...] ."
