Schlageter Infantry Division

The Infantry Division Albert Leo Schlageter (RAD Division Nr. 1) was a German infantry division of the Army during World War II . The unit consisted mainly of members of the Reich Labor Service (RAD) .

Division history

Later RAD Division no. 1 "Schlageter" was as eg Infantry Division V. 1 in the course of the 35th line-up shaft on 31 March 1945 as a part of the destroyed 299th Infantry Division and RAD units on the Munster Training Area in East Prussia for the military district X set up. The division was named after Albert Leo Schlageter in April 1945 and should have a total strength of approx. 12,000 men.
