Frederiks Schuld is a German TV film by Udo Witte from 2011 . It is part of the ZDF - Herzkino - Sunday film and the 41st film in the Inga Lindström series . The leading roles are cast with Michaela May , Christian Kohlund , Anna Hausburg and Axel Schreiber .

The young Nele Lindberg lives with her grandmother Katerina in Stockholm. She is giving her granddaughter an old family heirloom for her 18th birthday - a necklace that Nele's mother had worn before she died very young giving birth to her daughter. Nele is surprised by her rich friend Markus with a birthday outing. It goes to the Sommarsberg, a noble hotel that belongs to the magnate Frederik Hamsun. He is on vacation there with his much younger fiancé Hanna Sundvall at the same time. In Sommarsberg, Nele also meets the architecture student Lasse Lundin, who she had met shortly before and who works there as a chauffeur. Frederik is shocked by Nele's appearance and her chain, but does not reveal his secret. Instead, he offers her a summer job as a temporary worker, which leads to Neles quarreling with Markus.
During her time in Sommarsberg, Nele and Lasse get closer, at the same time she finds out that Hanna is having an affair with another man and Frederik only wants to marry for the money. When Frederik visits Katerina in Stockholm, her story becomes obvious: Frederik and Katharina were once married. He was a doctor, but was unable to save their daughter, Nele's mother, after an accident. Since then, Katerina has blamed Frederik for her daughter's death and forbids him to have any contact with Nele.
A little later, Markus visits Nele in Sommarsberg, but Nele realizes that she doesn't love him and breaks up with him. When she goes to Stockholm with Frederik and her grandmother suffers a fit of weakness, Katerina tells her that Frederik is her grandfather and that she and Nele abandoned her after they were born. The completely disturbed Nele then meets with Lasse, who comforts her. Both drive back to Sommarsberg where Frederik Nele tells the whole story. She then turns away from him and in her anger gives him proof of Hanna's infidelity. Frederik breaks the engagement and speaks to Nele. In the end, Katerina and Frederik are reconciled and admit their love.

Frederiks Schuld was filmed from July 11th to August 5th 2011 in Nyköping and the surrounding area and Stockholm .
