Ingalena Heuck

Ingalena Heuck (born September 8, 1986 in Starnberg ) is a former German long-distance runner .

Career

In 2005 Ingalena Heuck became the German youth champion in cross-country skiing . In 2008 she became German U23 champion in the 5000 and 10,000 meters as well as in the 10 km road run and in the adult area she was German runner-up in the 5000 meters.

In the following year she was third in the Altötting half marathon and second in the German championships in 10 km road running , and in 2010 she first came third in the German championships in cross country and then won her first national title over the half marathon distance . A month later she was third at the German 10,000 meter championships.

Ingalena Heuck trained with Pierre Ayadi (LG Olympia Dortmund) from September 2007 to April 2011 and has been supervised by Dan Lorang since May 2011 . Since 2008 she started for LG Stadtwerke München (previously for LG Würm Athletik and TSV Graefelfing ).

In November 2011 she finished her studies in sports science at the Technical University of Munich . She wrote her diploma thesis on the "nutrition of recreational marathon runners with a special focus on vitamin C and the immune system". For this purpose, she examined data that were recorded as part of the Be-MaGIC study.

In February 2013, she announced that she would withdraw from competitive sports due to persistent foot problems.

In May 2015 she won the Wings for Life World Run in Munich with 49.54 km .
