Table tennis
The table tennis department has existed since 1967. After several promotions under the manager Ernst Deisinger, the men's team with Ronald Redjep (Croatia), Anton Kutis, Christian Mersi, Martin Schauer, Werner Schaffer and Alexander Yahmed became champions of the Regionalliga Süd Bayern, strengthened with the Russian Maxim Shmyrev and were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. They played here for six years. In the 2003/04 season, Richard Prause , Yang Lei , Gabriel Stephan, Daniel Demleitner, Martin Schauer, Joseph Hong and Alexander Yahmed were promoted to the 1st Bundesliga . Since it was not possible to strengthen suitably for financial reasons, the team remained without a win and could not avoid the first relegation since the table tennis department was founded.
After another five years in the 2nd Bundesliga, in 2010 he was promoted to today's DTTL . This was achieved with a team in which only German players competed. Graefelfing was the only club in the 2nd Bundesliga that did not use foreigners. The team was only third, but the two better placed did not apply by not applying for a license for the DTTL.
In the 2010/11 season, the team played in the cast
- Sharath Kamal Achanta (India)
- Nico Christ
- Gabriel Stephan
- Stefan Frasch
In 2011, the club withdrew the men's team to the Bayern League for financial reasons.
The women's team plays in the Bayern League. In addition, four men's and four youth teams are active in 2010/11.
