Inge Howe (born May 23, 1952 in Lavelsloh , Nienburg / Weser district ) is a nurse and was a member of the SPD in the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2000 to 2017 .

Life

In 1966 she graduated from elementary school . In 1969 she obtained the technical college entrance qualification . In 1968 she completed basic home economics and nursing training in the Protestant nursing school. From 1969 to 1972 she received training as a nurse. In 1972 she passed her state examination. As of November 1, 1977, she was appointed as a ward manager at the Minden Clinic . From 1985 she was deputy head of nursing, and since 1990 she has been head of nursing in the children's clinic.

From August 1, 1988, she was an exempt member of the staff council , and since June 1, 1990 chairman of the staff council . From October 1, 1998, she undertook a part-time course in health care in the field of care management . In October 2000 she completed her intermediate diploma here.

Howe has been a member of the SPD since 1990. From 1994 to 1998 she was a member of the SPD subdistrict executive committee or executive subdistrict executive committee Minden-Lübbecke . In 1998 she was elected deputy chairwoman of the SPD sub-district of Minden-Lübbecke. Howe has been a member of the SPD's party council since November 1998.

She has been a member of ÖTV /Ver.di since 1986 . Since 1990 she has been in the district executive Minden-Lübbecke and the District Board of NRW Ver.di operates. Here she works in the collective bargaining commission for hospitals. She has been a member of the Workers' Welfare Association since 2000 , here in the East Westphalia-Lippe district committee since 2004 .

Howe first moved in 2000 for the Minden-Lübbecke III state electoral district as a directly elected member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . In 2005 she was re-elected to the state parliament as a direct candidate for the constituency of Minden-Lübbecke II . She was a member of the Labor, Health and Social Affairs Committee and deputy chairperson of the Petitions Committee . She was re-elected for the state constituency of Minden-Lübbecke II in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 with 46 percent of the vote. In the state elections in 2012 , she won her constituency Minden-Lübbecke II with 47.3 percent against Kirstin Korte of the CDU . In 2017, she announced that she would not stand again after 17 years in the state parliament and left the state parliament.

She was a member of the 14th Federal Assembly , which on June 30, 2010 appointed Christian Wulff to succeed Horst Köhler in the office of Federal President . Since November 26, 2010, she has also been represented on the Broadcasting Council of West German Broadcasting Corporation .

Howe is married with one child.
