Inge Utzt

Inge Utzt (born October 23, 1944 in Bad Rothenfelde -Strang) is a German antiquarian and Baden-Württemberg politician of the SPD . From 2001 to 2006 she was a member of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament in the 13th electoral term .

education and profession

After elementary school and secondary school in Bramsche , Inge Utzt did an apprenticeship in an antiquarian bookshop . She worked in second-hand bookshops in Osnabrück , Bonn and since 1973 in Stuttgart . In 1981 she opened her own shop in Stuttgart, an antiquarian bookshop specializing in women's literature.

Political activity

From 1983 to 1988 Inge Utzt was a district adviser in Stuttgart-Bad Cannstatt . From 1994 to 2000 she was chairwoman of the SPD Bad Cannstatt. From 1994 to 2001 she was a member of the municipal council of the state capital Stuttgart . She was a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg from 2001 to 2006. She was spokeswoman for immigration issues and cultural policy spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group and deputy chairwoman of the committee for science, research and the arts. From 2005 to 2006 she was also a member of the Petitions Committee. In 2006 she missed her re-entry into the state parliament.

In 2013 she was awarded the Willy Brandt Medal .

Family and private

Inge Utzt is married and has one son.
