Ingeborg Maria Christel Körner (born July 27, 1929 in Keetmanshoop , South West Africa ) is a German actress .

Ingeborg Körner was born as the daughter of Captain Oskar Körner in the former German colony of South West Africa ( Namibia ). After attending a ballet school and taking acting lessons with Fritz Wagner at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg and with Herma Clement in Berlin , she took up an engagement at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg in 1949 .

In 1951 she switched to Comedy in Berlin and made a guest appearance at the Münchner Kammerspiele . Her stage roles Atlanta were in the house in Montevideo by Curt Goetz and queen in the operetta The courier of the Queen of Nico Dostal . She also appeared in A Somewhat Strange Lady by John Patrick at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , in It Remains in the Family of Louis Verneuil at the Münchner Kammerspiele and in the Comedy Berlin as Dorrit in My Best Friend by John van Druten.

From 1949 she was initially shown in small parts of the film. In 1951 she played one of the daughters of Professor Traugott Nägler, played by Curt Goetz, in the film version Das Haus in Montevideo , which he himself directed , in 1953 she was partner of Rudolf Prack in When the village music plays on Sunday evening and in the same year of Heinz Rühmann in Keine Angst in front of large animals . In 1955 she took over her last feature film role in A Heart Stays Alone . Körner, married to the theater director Hans Wölffer, only appeared in a few television productions.

Ingeborg Körner made one of her last public appearances on July 23, 2004 at the memorial service for Inge Meysel .
