Inger Davidson

Inger Margareta Davidson (birth name: Inger Margareta Winblad ; born December 2, 1944 ) is a Swedish politician of the Christian Democrats ( Kristdemokraterna ) , who was civil minister between 1991 and 1994 and a member of the Reichstag from 1991 to 2010 .

Life

Inger Davidson worked as a teacher at a middle school between 1969 and 1987 after graduating . In 1989 she succeeded Dan Ericsson as party secretary of the Christian Democrats and held this position until she was replaced by Lars Lindén in 1991. In the election of September 15, 1991 , she was elected a member of the Reichstag for the first time and was a member of it until October 4, 2010.

On October 4, 1991, Inger Davidson was appointed by Prime Minister Carl Bildt as civil minister ( civil minister ) in his government and held this ministerial office until the end of his term of office on October 7, 1994. In addition, she replaced Jan Erik Ågren as 1st vice-chairman of Christian Democrats and held this position until she was replaced by Maria Larsson in 2003.

During her subsequent further membership in parliament, she was chairman of the culture committee (Kulturutskottet) from October 1998 to September 2002 and vice-chairwoman of the justice committee (Justitieutskottet) between October 2006 and October 2010 . Most recently, from February 2009 to October 2010, she was deputy chairman of the Kristdemokraterna faction in the Reichstag.
