Ingo Bartussek

Ingo Bartussek (born July 10, 1957 in Groß-Gerau ) is a German animal photographer . He is best known for his raccoon photos.

Life

His photographs and magazine articles have been published regularly in magazines such as GEO and the BBC Wildlife Magazine since the late 1990s . His recordings were made both as part of Ulf Hohmann's research work in Solling , Lower Saxony , and with the help of raccoons that were raised in their own enclosure and later released into the wild.

As the author of the non-fiction book The Raccoons Come , the French-language children's book Le Raton laveur: Vagabond masqué and as the initiator of the traveling exhibition The Secret Life of Raccoons , he campaigns to educate the population about the animal species that have been naturalized from North America .
