Ingo Baumgartner

Ingo Baumgartner (born February 12, 1944 in Oberndorf near Salzburg ; † July 16, 2015 in Puch near Hallein ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and primary and secondary school teacher. Baumgartner was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 1987 to 1989 and was active as a local politician in Abtenau and Puch near Hallein. Within the party, he held the function of a member of the regional party executive of the SPÖ Salzburg and the deputy district party chairman.

education and profession

Baumgartner attended elementary school in Holzhausen between 1950 and 1954 and then switched to secondary school in his native town of Oberndorf near Salzburg from 1954 to 1958. He then graduated from the federal teacher training institute in Salzburg between 1958 and 1963 .

Baumgartner worked as a primary school teacher in Piesendorf between 1963 and 1964 and was then employed as a secondary school teacher in Abtenau from 1964 to 1982 . Then he was a secondary school teacher in Abtenmau between 1982 and 1989 and a primary school teacher in Golling an der Salzach from 1989 to 1992 . At the end of his professional career, he worked as a primary school teacher in Puch near Hallein between 1992 and 1995 and was then director of the Hallein- Neualm primary school from 1995 to 2003 .

Baumgartner joined the Social Democratic Party of Austria in 1966 and took over the office of SPÖ local party chairman from Abtenau from 1976 to 1989. From 1988 he held the position of deputy district party chairman of the SPÖ Tennengau and from 1986 to 1989 he held the function of a member of the state party executive of the SPÖ Salzburg. In addition, Baumgartner was active as a member of the municipal council from 1974 to 1979 and was Deputy Mayor of Abtenau from 1979 to 1989. Furthermore, between 1974 and 1989 he was active as chairman of the SPÖ municipal parliamentary group in Abtenau and then from 2001 a member of the municipal council of Puch near Hallein. Baumgartner represented the Social Democratic Party between February 4, 1987 and May 2, 1989 in the Salzburg state parliament.

Private

Baumgartner counted zoology ( herpetology ), languages ​​(including Arabic and Turkish) as well as the writing of poems, satirical short stories, dramatized fairy tales or shepherd games to his interests. He is also the author of a number of teaching aids for compulsory schools. He lived in Puch near Hallein, where he died on July 16, 2015 and is the father of four daughters.
