Ingo Hoppe (born April 26, 1968 in Otterndorf ) is a German radio and television presenter , journalist and speaker .

Life

After completing his military service in the Air Force , Hoppe studied political science at the Free University of Berlin and began his career at the SFB in 1988 . From 1991 he mainly moderated the morning program Guten Morgen Berlin .

Ingo Hoppe reported for ARD from Monaco , Egypt , Italy and Iraq . In 1996 he was one of the ARD reporters for the Summer Olympics in Atlanta .

In 1997 Hoppe switched to the private television station TV.Berlin . There he presented a daily call-in format, as well as various political and celebrity formats. After the bankruptcy of the operator Leo Kirch , Hoppe returned to the SFB in 1999 , now Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (rbb).

He also moderated various major events, such as the open day at the Federal Chancellery and the opening of the new US embassy in Berlin . Ingo Hoppe also works as a speaker and played supporting roles in the television productions Kanzleramt ( ZDF ) and Die Krähen .

Since 2012 Hoppe has been moderating a talk show on Radio Berlin 88.8 with guests from politics, business and society.

In 2018, Hoppe published his audio book How to Start Conversation and Make New Friends with Everyone: Small Tricks for Great Success in Relationships .

Hoppe is married, has two children and lives in Berlin.

Trivia

In the thriller Tearbringer by Veit Etzold (2017), the commissioner visits the presenter Ingo Hoppe in his house and is later a guest at his studio. Etzold and Hoppe presented the book together in the Haus des Rundfunks in Berlin as part of a reading.
