Ingrid Drexel Clouthier (born July 28, 1993 in Monterrey ) is a Mexican cyclist.
Athletic career
Ingrid Drexel began at the age of 13 years in cycling at the velodrome of Leon ; eight years later she had won 42 national cycling titles in different age groups. At the age of 14 she was selected for the Mexican squad for the Pan American Cycling Championships. In 2010 she started at the Summer Youth Olympic Games and became a Pan American junior champion in the individual time trial
In 2011 Drexel won two medals at the Junior World Track Championships : silver in the points race and bronze in the omnium . In the same year she became a three-time Pan-American champion: as a junior in the scratch and in the single pursuit , in the elite class she won in the omnium. In 2012 Drexel started in the road race at the Olympic Games in London , but could not meet the time limit. In 2014 she became the Pan American road race champion . Up to and including 2018, she also won seven national championship titles in road races and in the individual time trial.

Ingrid Drexel is married to Mexican soccer - international goalkeeper Gibran Lajud ( as of 2020 ). She is the niece of the politician Tatiana Clouthier .
