Ingvar Olsson

Ingvar "Tjotta" Olsson (born June 8, 1923 in Eskilstuna ; † April 20, 1982 ) was a Swedish handball , football player and football coach. He was also successful as a singer .

career

Olsson started his career at IF Svea in Eskilstuna. In 1944 he moved to local rivals IFK Eskilstuna , where he only played one year. He then moved on to IK City within his home town . During the Second World War he played with the handball team of the Fliegerstaffel F 11 Nyköping in the Handbollsallsvenskan .

In 1951, Olsson moved to AIK . The club from Solna was relegated from the Allsvenskan and with the help of the offensive player, who scored ten goals in twelve second division games, managed to return directly to the Swedish House of Lords. There he blended in well and scored his first two first division goals on his first division debut on August 17, 1952 in the 3: 5 defeat by IFK Göteborg .

1954 was one of the most successful seasons in Olsson's career. In the season 1953/54 he had achieved 16 goals this season and at the beginning of the following season he distinguished himself as a regular goalscorer. Therefore, he was appointed to the Swedish national team on September 8 , but was not used in the 7-0 defeat by the Soviet Union in Moscow.

In 1958, Olsson ended his first division career after 122 first division games. With 70 goals he is the fifth most successful goal scorer at AIK. He ended his career at Gimonäs CK from 1959 to 1961 and then at Edsbro IF until 1963 .

He worked as a trainer at Edsbro IF from 1962 before moving to Rådmansö IF in 1973 . In 1975 he returned to Edsbro IF and stayed for another two years.
